The NEX-EA50UM has F4 Constant Aperture Servo Zoom G Lens "SELP18105G", and is the replacement model of the NEX-EA50UH.The lens features constant F4 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range, quiet and continuous variable focus/zoom/iris operation, and the length of the lens remains constant for maximum handling consistency, and Optical Steady Shot™ image stabilization, making it ideal for shooting moving images.

Variable zooming speed is electronically controlled by zoom rocker levers located on the camcorder’s handgrip, top handle, a zoom rocker on the lens itself and by LANC compatible remote controllers as well. The camera is the first in a new series of affordable, entry-level large sensor NXCAM professional camcorders. Thanks to its E mount interchangeable lens system, Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, powerful imaging capabilities and flexible semi-shoulder design, the NEX EA50M significantly expands creative freedom for Full HD video and 16.0 megapixel high-quality still photos shooting.

The NEX-EA50UH Camcorder with 18-200mm Servo Zoom Lens initiates Sony's new EA Series of camcorders designed for cinematic event videography. The camera comes with an 18-200mm servo zoom lens, the first E-mount lens with servo zoom. NEX-EA50 features a new Exmor APS-C CMOS sensor and delivers Full HD 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 frames per second. The optional Flash Memory Unit (FMU) provides instant back up recording, however it is not included and must be purchased separately.
