HXCP70H is a compact Point-of-View (POV) HD multi-purpose camera. The HXCP70H is a companion camera to and integrates seamlessly with the HXCD70 camera system. The HDCP70 follows the form and functionality of the high-end HDCP1 POV camera and is equipped with three high sensitivity 2/3-inch Exmore CMOS sensors. As a standalone or systemized studio camera, the HDCP70 offers very high-quality full HD 1080i or 720p pictures. The HXCP70H is a true companion camera; the same precise adjustments found on the HXCD70 series are available utilizing the same remote control panels (RCP) developed for Sony’s studio cameras.

The most unique feature of the HXCP70H is the direct integration of a fiber connection on the camera body and subsequent connection to the HXCUFB70 camera control unit. You can use either a hybrid-type fiber cable (CCFN type) or single-mode fiber cable, depending on the system configuration. The compact and lightweight HXCP70H is an ideal POV camera for a wide range of applications that require full HD-quality images to be captured at angles or locations difficult for traditional HD cameras. Weighing only 1.5kg, the HXCP70H is easy to install in production environments such as on a crane, helicopter, pan/tilt or in underwater housing. With cutting-edge performance, operability, and system flexibility, the HXCP70H is a cost-effective, high-performance multi-purpose camera that can be utilized in a wide range of applications.

Keeping the same compact and lightweight body as the HDCP1, the HXCP70H achieves a cost reduction while providing the high picture quality equivalent to the reputable HXCD70 HD/SD system camera by using the same image sensor. It achieves high sensitivity of F12 (at 1080/59.94i) or F13 (at 1080/50i) while keeping low noise ratio.

The HXCP70H is equipped with a Neutral Density (ND) optical servo filter unit and electrical Color Correction (CC) filter. The electrical CC filter can be controlled from the remote control panel, which allows you to assign four different color temperatures. In addition to the filter functions, thanks to the TLCS (Total Level Control System) function, gain/iris/shutter is automatically controlled by the ambient brightness, making it very efficient for nature shooting or surveillance use from morning to night.

The hybrid type optical fiber cable can extend the distance from the HXCUFB70 camera control unit up to 500m while supplying the required power. When connected to a single-mode fiber cable (SMF), it can extend up to 10km if you are using a local power supply. Using the SMF already laid as infrastructure in many facilities enables you to install the camera system quickly and easily.

The digital extender function expands the size of the image by a factor of two or four times in the center of the image sensor’s captured image. This function works without a decrease in sensitivity, such as an F-number drop, which typically occurs when using conventional optical extender functions.
